Chieftain manufacture rail trailers, road rail trailers and also offer a comprehensive range of conversions and products to suit the needs of any railway maintenance company.
The Chieftain platform rail trailer range enables the cost efficient transport of goods and equipment to worksites and rail stations. They are available in 4m, 5m and 6m. All trailers are designed and developed to meet all RIS 1530-PLT Issue 2 regulations.
Each platform trailer comes complete with multi-leaf suspension, Ø550mm P1/10 profile wheels, hydraulic brakes, failsafe braking system, Full 12V LED lighting, lashing rings and tow Hitch c/w tow pole as standard.
Chieftain have also many years experience in the conversion of vehicles for use in the rail industry. Road/rail conversions are available on many popular dozer, dumper and excavator makes. We have worked on projects for many UK and foreign rail networks and have the knowledge, engineering capabilities and production facilities to successfully convert various kinds of plant and equipment for use on the railway lines.
